Omar El Lahib 1986 年出生于黎巴嫩西顿，毕业于杜塞尔多夫艺术学院。受德国新表现主义和维也纳象征主义的影响，Omar El Lahib的绘画处于具象抽象之间，画面色彩浓烈，梦幻空灵。
Omar El Lahib强调自己对于色域绘画的思考，通过不间断的，大量的草图训练，使其使用的颜色和形式发挥到极致。正如他对个人哲学的理解，一切事物都服务于对生命的最高敬意。植根于他的绘画经验，他将他对画向日葵的喜爱融入了他的夜间作品中，创造被向日葵照亮的夜晚，富裕黑夜大自然以生命力，画中万物都好似在沉思。他的画面中的人类符号不是作为中心人物，而是为空间注入了人文主义的焦点，邀请观众沉浸在场景中。

Omar El Lahib was born in Sidon, Lebanon in 1986 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf. Influenced by German Neo-Expressionism and Viennese Symbolism, Omar El Lahib's paintings are at the borderline between figurative and abstract, with strong colours and a dreamy, ethereal quality.
Omar El Lahib emphasizes his own understanding of colour-field painting through uninterrupted, extensive sketching exercises that bring out the best in the colours and forms he uses. As he understands his personal philosophy, all things serve the highest respect for life. Based on his painting experience, he incorporates his love of painting sunflowers into his nocturnal works. The works are illuminated by the light of the sunflowers, enriched by the vitality of nature in the darkness of the night, in which everything seems to be in contemplation. The human symbols in his paintings do not act as central figures, but rather inject a humanistic focus into the space, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the scene.
As Nietzsche said, "Only in the darkness do the stars twinkle." Omar El Lahib's "Black Box" amplifies the moment for the viewer's senses and makes "life force" more intense. Perhaps, it has also profoundly changed our understanding of darkness.
